Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974 in Aviano Italy). American actress. She is known for her role as naive charming characters. Adams was born to an U.S. Army officer in Italy and was raised to be a resident of Castle Rock Colorado. Then, in the latter part of 1990s, she began professional dance and acting in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. In the following year in Minnesota, at a local theater, she was chosen to be a part of the mock documentary about beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous. Following her successful screen debut where she played an obnoxious but friendly contestant, Janet relocated into Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. She was married to Tony Curtis was her partner from June 1950 until September 1992. She had two children, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began in mid- 1940s, after she was hired by MGM. The actress was discovered by Norma Shearer. Leigh appeared in a variety of popular films in the next decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film from 1954).
